Saaho starring Prabhas and Shraddha witnessed a grand opening collection on its first day (Friday). At worldwide box office, it collected more than Rs 100 crores. The movie has got benefit being multilingual as it has been released in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. (Check: Sahoo Movie Review.)
Its Hindi version earned Rs 24.40 cr, and became the third biggest opener of 2019 after Bharat (Rs 42.30 cr) and Mission Mangal (Rs 29.16 cr). All hails to Prabhas’ superstardom post Baahubali 2 success. The credit also goes to the hype and buzz surrounding the film due to big star cast.
The film also stars Chunkey Pandey, Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Arun Vijay, and Murali Sharma along others. All these are well known faces in the Hindi film industry. The flick opened to fantastic advance bookings. Now, the first weekend’s numbers are crucial to make it even bigger.
As per the trade analyst Girish Johar, the expectations from Saaho are pretty much high considering the fact that Prabhas is a megastar down south. He has got a massive fan following over there. In Hindi belt, he also has a good following because of the biggest hit Baahubali to his credit.
Predominantly, Saaho will fare better down south. Amidst all the hype and expectations, the film has received mixed reviews from both the critics and the audience. After Baahubali, it has become the second Indian film to open with Rs 100+ crores. It is such an important figure that other films fail to achieve in their lifetime run.
In the USA, it has already earned ₹ 10 Crore 50 Lakhs / $1.5M ( Including Premier Shows ) on its first day. So, it is going extremely well in the overseas box office. On another note, Saaho has been leaked online and become the latest target of piracy website Tamilrockers.

Coming to 2nd day collection of Saaho, the film has again opened well on its 1st Saturday. It has registered an average opening of 45% today, its day 2. The figures are almost similar to Friday’s. Multiplexes and single screens are both holding well. However, there might be some drop in single screens.

Despite mixed reviews, the film was able to earn more than Rs 20 cr on its day one. So, the early trends of Saturday suggest that it will collect somewhere around Rs 23 on its second day.
